| 14th November 2008 | The Commercial Hockey Club Inc Annual General Meeting is to be held at the Finsbury St clubhouse commencing at 10am on Sunday 30th November 2008. Christmas nibblies and special priced drinks will commence after the Men’s and Women’s Player Meetings. |

| 14th November 2008 | Hockey Queensland's Event Calendar has been released outlining key dates for the 2009 season. |
| 8th September 2008 | The BWHA has released the Grand Final schedule for games being held this Friday and Saturday, the 12th and 13th of September. A copy of the schedule can be viewed here. |

The 2008 season is progressing well for our senior men’s teams, with 4 out of 5 BHL teams and both our CHL teams in either 1st or 2nd position, and our Vets1 team in the top 4. Continuing our good form, Commercial were well represented with 5 teams in the Memorial cup, 3 of which were victorious. Congratulations to those teams, being BHL1, BHL2 and CHL1. With the business end of the season fast approaching, let’s hope all our all teams will keep up the consistency and do us proud going into the finals. Go the Cobras! |

The Junior Boys are progressing well with all teams in the top 4. The U11s are sitting first at the moment. Representative duties have commenced and many of the boys have been selected in Brisbane teams – U11s are playing Coulter Shield 3 August, U13s are in Gladstone 30 June and the U15s are in Bundaberg 7 July. I know the boys will all perform well. Friday, 8 August has been scheduled for the Junior Boys’ club photos and Sunday, 7 September for the Junior Boys & Girls Trophy day. |
